Osyn , The God of Light (a.k.a. The Protector)
Osyn ranks among the supreme 5 gods of the pantheon. Along with the other four gods Osyn oversees the mundane dealings of Haven as well as it's interests in other planes. They 5 of them meet once a century to discuss recent occurrences and contemplate any issues that are taking place. The council can be summoned more regularly, however, in the case of an emergeny. For example. during the Realm Wars their meetings were scheduled each week and the 5 acted as a form of war council from which they fought against the forces invading the The Mortal Realm.
After a few decades he was approached by his brother, Nagtelik, the god of darkness. Nagtelik told Osyn that while he has done an incredible service to the creatures living in this new realm he would not always be there to protect them. He said that ,although Osyn was mighty, he could not be everywhere at the same time. Nagtelik offered to help Osyn, to devide the responsibility of protecting the Mortal Realms between them. After some deliberation Osyn agreed. They decided that half a day Osyn would look over the creatures of the plane and the other half Nagtelik would protect them.
While Osyn revered his brother, he was also aware of his weaknesses. He did not trust Nagtelik to keep a faithful watch and protect the creatures of the Mortal Realm as needed. As such Osyn charged his most trusted angel to fly above Nagtelik during his watch and help him monitor the peoples of the Mortal Realm.
Entering the Mortal Realm
When the gods first discovered the Mortal Realm, The Coming of the Gods, Osyn was one of the first to enter the new plane. He saw that it's creatures cowered in the eternal twilight in which they lived and he bestowed his gift upon the world: Light. As he extended his gift throughout the entire plane he noticed that many evil things lurked here. He vowed to the denizens of the Mortal Realm that wherever his light touched, he would be there to protect them. After the Realm Wars
After the Realm Wars Osyn personally lead his followers on a holy crusade to eradicate any remaining evil that persisted in the Mortal Realm. He established churches in his name as he went, to help train and gather more faithful that could help him in protecting the plane.Divine Domains
Osyn has domain over most light. Therefore almost all light sources are his to command and control.
He has taken it upon himself, however, to extend these duties. He has vowed "Everything the light touches, is mine to protect.". As such he is often seen aiding beings from all sort of harm.
