Tómas Melo
Tómas Melo
Tómas Melo was the Governor-General of Calama during the reign of the People's Republic of Lordania and the Tersten State. He is mostly remembered for pushing colonists to the Great Delta, leading to the establishment of Dambak and the Dambak Confederation.
Born to a poor family of penal convicts, Melo was considered the runt of the Governor-Generals. He achieved his position largely through luck and cronyism, trusted by Katya Jefferson to oversee Calian. As a leader, his attitude towards the Unitarian Party seems to largely be mixed. It is unclear if he truly followed their beliefs. During the Great Revolution, Melo defected and joined the Resistance, however he was kept away from most of the fighting and placed under house arrest by the Tersten Government-in-Exile.
Melo was kept under close watch by the newly formed Republic of Tersten and spent the rest of his life in Maso City, where he died in 68 PC.
