The Second Lordanian Republic is the unifying republic in control of half of the Lordanian Cluster. It is an interplanetary, intergovernmental federal republic, with its capital located on the urban world of Lordania. It has recently been seeking closer ties with Sol, the birthplace of Humanity. It borders the Confederate Systems of Lordania, which stands firmly in opposition to the Second Republic.
The SLR is also known as Blue Lordania, owing to its flag and conservative politics. While it has done much to shake off the trappings of the fascist People's Republic of Lordania, most people are aware that the Second Lordanian Republic was largely founded by moderates within the political sphere of the PRL, who had escaped many of the Consul's purges. Its first Supreme Chancellor, Diana Ndiaye, was a prominent member of the Unitarian leadership on Kingston.

The Second Lordanian Republic is an autocratic republic. Its upper house, known as the Chencellery, are largely conservatives, who seek to bring back a strong and centralised Lordanian Republic, under the watchful eye of benevolent chancellors, as opposed to the whims of a maniacal despot. They believe it is the duty of the rich and powerful to provide the means for people to "pick themselves up". As such, the incorporate very mild federal social policies. They are attempting to combat the rising influence of the Confederate Systems, who have championed the social cause, and denounced the SLR as a continuation of the People's Republic. Lordanian Conservatism, as it has come to be known, has been denounced by most modern left-wing beliefs, both inside and outside the SLR.
The Republic of Tersten is a member of the Second Lordanian Republic, something that has put it at odds with large parts of Tersten, who oppose the very pro-paternalism and pro-Sol agenda of the SLR. Tersten joined Blue Lordania in 53 PC, being pulled into the Serajji Conflict as a result, and leading to the end of the Tersten Golden Age.
