The Hadopelagic

Myeru Hadal (a.k.a. The Hadopelagic)

Profile
Myeru Hadal, the Hadopelagic. He bears an ability born from a desire to remove that which had made him removed from others. Born into the influential Hadal Lineage, everything from his isolated upbringing to his inherit status made it very difficult to develop any bonds with anyone, as all he had been for a long time was another vessel for a legacy. Initially, Myeru appears very stoic, usually wearing a blank expression while speaking in a polite, yet aloof manner. He's pragmatic. resourceful and all things which indicate the traits of someone of influence. Despite the seemingly distant personality he can be quite lively and featherbrained. Myeru is very contradictory in this regard, while his social capacity in a professional setting is laudable, it's laughable in every other, he's both insightful and naïve, and his high aptitudes are only matched by his high ineptitudes. Abilities that really should translate across different contexts just don't with him. All this mixed with his normal unflinching stalwart demeanor can make quite the disconnect between these two facets, inducing a form of comical seriousness that makes him both endearing and terrifying. But beneath all of decorum ingrained into him, he's a naturally altruistic person whose main motivation in centered around pure compassion. Myeru is one of the very few people who are have truly fallen in love with the world.

Without his remnant, his ability is called "Storm Surge" and allows him to shape and manipulate water in liquid or gas form, a unique portion of his hydrokinesis is that he can, at will, send out waves of bioelectricity from his wings through any water he's currently in control of, even reaching a breaking point where the water instantly vaporized into an explosion of electricity, water and steam. His remnant, Ebisu, was born from his regret and despair at not being what he wished he was.

Ebisu, The Sole
The master of this remnant feels incompatible with those he wished to walk beside. This remnant hides its incomprehensive form in endless layers of water, in depths even light cannot pierce. Even the joy of having an unknowing guest is underlined with the stark remembrance that it must mind each of its actions, lest its smallest movements cause destructive tides that risk harm to those it feels must distance itself from. Should it ever rise close enough to the surface to be seen, it is unknown should those who do see it will see it as a warning or a challenge, perhaps this remnant prefers not to know the answer, perhaps it curses itself for being unsuitable for the world beyond its ocean.

The unbound ability, "Hadopelagic" turns water into an entrance to a pocket-world that consists of only an endless ocean. Myeru is able to still manipulate water in the outside world while still inside this domain and use it as a channel between water sources allowing him to travel between them, but cannot turn water into portals while inside. There are only two methods to escape this ocean space, the first is exit via water that has been turned into portal between the ocean and real world, the second is for one to attempt to drown, where the person will be forcefully ejected from the domain, manifesting out of the water source they originally entered from or from a cloud of manifested steam should the water source no longer exist.
The form this remnant takes remains unknown even to Myeru himself, but whatever it is seems to dwell within the endless ocean it creates, and what little information about its form seems to point to its size being very far from small.

Myeru primarily fights using his hydrokinesis and occasionally detonate the water for a forceful blow. By flooding the area and creating multiple entrances to Ebisu's ocean he can travel between them allowing for increased mobility, or he could electrify the water, paralyzing creatures in place before being caught in a violent explosion of steam. His wyverian trait gives him massive slick wings made of jet-black membrane which stretched all the way down to a tail whose underside can glow with hauntingly beautiful bioluminescence and can absorb and store large quantities of water. These wings and tail allow for quick and precise movements while swimming, a unique storage for water and, though incapable of flight, a way to glide as long as its not holding too much water. Myeru seems to enjoy creating clouds of mist to emerge from and fall into by turning them into an entrance to Ebisu's ocean, despite his arguments on the efficiency of using mist, he does it purely for the aesthetic.

Myeru's strength cannot be underestimated. His abilities and applications of them make him an true threat due to the inert strength and mobility it provides, but is heavily limited by the amount of water he has access to. The water from Ebisu's ocean cannot exist outside of it, so Myeru's supply is quite limited if isolated from a water source. If deprived of water stored in his wings, he may resort to drawing water from his own body and risk severe dehydration unless a water source is found. A major weakness in his ability is that it can only manipulate pure liquid water and water vapor, any water that is frozen or is more another substance than water, it cannot be controlled or is conductive to his electricity. Observant opponents may also use Myeru's own wings against him, since they reflect his current water and electrical storage. The luminous aspect of his wings glow in proportion to the amount of charge he has built up while the under skin of his wings become a muddy brown colour when dehydrated. Also, trying trap opponents within his ocean becomes difficult should they learn of the trick to escaping.

Physical Description

Body Features

Myeru's wyverian trait gives him large black membrane wings that stretch all the way down to a tail and that can absorb, store, and expel large quantities of water. They can fold into his back as to not get in the way but can be a hassle when trying to extend them because his clothing blocks them, as such much of his clothing have been specially tailored.

Special abilities

Myeru's abilities are quite versatile while in its element, in both the figurative and literal sense. His hydrokinesis can allow him to shape water into forms only limited by his ability, he's capable of creating tendrils of water, razor-sharp torrents or steams of high-pressure steams of water, all of which can be augmented with electricity, he can create surges of water to quickly douse the surrounding terrain in puddles of water, ready to be electrified and detonated at a moments notice. Those same puddle can be made into entrances in his endless ocean to travel between them or drag others with into with him. His natural affinity towards water makes him unmatched while submerged and can remain in this ocean as long as he can sustain it. One must also be wary of his water source as it's not always obvious. Though Myeru cannot bring the water of Ebisu's ocean outside it, he can use the ocean as a medium for transport, bringing real water from elsewhere into the ocean and pulling it all out at his location appearing as if he can draw limitless water from nothing.

Specialized Equipment

Myeru doen't use any weapon or equipment, merely his ability. His unique combat style mostly consists of using his hydrokinesis to outmatch his opponents while using its detonation aspect to deliver a final blow. His skill lies in his adaptability, quickly learning and changing his style depending on the situation. He may bombard his enemies with cascades of electrified water or focus on mobility, traversing the puddles he leaves behind to deliver an unseen attack. Though, his most dangerous trump-card is to pull the target into his ocean before proceeding to detonate it, this attack usually incinerates whatever is caught in it and is usually Myeru's last resort, as generating all that electricity will most definitely drain him completely. Regardless, it is imperative to account for the sheer scale at which his ability can operate with. With a large enough source of water, overpowering him is a strategy available to near none.

Personality Quirks

Seems to take an inordinate amount of pleasure from reminding people to re-hydrate then proceeding to douse them in water.

Social

Contacts & Relations

Myeru was the assigned leader of a small hunter division that only contains four members, that being himself, Huojin Jiang, Tedric Shroud, and Oda Baize. Despite the supposed professional nature of their relationship, Myeru doesn't really treat the division or members in that light. He simply recruited them because they were unaffiliated and piqued his interest and hoped to be their companions. Though another reason was to make sure they weren't exploited by the guild itself.

History

Their affiliation was actually mutual. Theodore sought Myeru as his skill in management and business was imperative given his situation as new and unexperienced head of a powerful company, seeking a temporary merger with the Hadal Conglomerate in order to maintain the company. Despite the many rumours of of Myeru exploiting Theodore's inexperience for greater influence, he simply wanted Theodore's companionship and is pleased that he's able to help him too, managing Theodore's company with utmost integrity with the intent to break the merger should Theodore ask. Theodore, as an apprentice to Myeru in hunting and business has become very capable in a professional and combative setting where Myeru is simply glad to have some company in his small hunter division.

History

Myeru first found Oda at a low-point. Oda's talent made him rather renowned, people visiting his rather remote village due to his art, something Oda found great joy in, but only for a short while. Due to his perceptiveness, it didn't take too long for him to become disheartened by the crowed he attracted, that being haughty individuals who wanted his art not because they found it beautiful, but for ulterior reasons. Critics who feed off contrarian opinions and only see art as something to tear apart, Egoists who devalue art through over-analysis meant only to serve their sense of superiority because they "understand" it all, and rick folk who want his art for its novelty and the prestige surrounding it to enhance their own. This led to a deep despair which catalyzed the awakening of his remnant in the middle of a live exhibit, and the only thing this outburst of pain yielded was a round of applause, them thinking it as part of the art and doing to his turmoil what they did any other of his works, reduce it to hollow spectacle.   Myeru found him a husk devoid of passion, Oda assuming him to be another one of those he's used to, expecting a grand commission just to be used as some set piece for some lofty affair. So his bewilderment was understandable when a man who reeked of status simply commissioned him for some fanart for a comic he was really into. Much happened after that, Myeru took him under his wing, Oda decided to leave the fine art world for the hunter's one, and the his passion and compassion returned to him. Thus, Oda became the the latest member of Myeru's division and his exclusive (fan)artist.
