Researchers funded by The Empire began on-site study of the White Statue.

Konosuke Takei got a grant to set up a reseach encampment with the intent to study the White Statue. He and the other researchers were accompanied by a large contingent of soldiers to keep them safe and to set up an outpost on the southern side of the peninsula as there had not been one on that side previously.
