The Sea of the Dead

The Sea of the Dead is a large sea bordering Norheimsk and The Dead Frontier and is a place full of mystery. The sea is constantly covered in a thick layer of fog and no ship that has ventured into the fog has ever made it out. It is rumored that the sea is inhabited by Wyrms, direct descendants of the ancient Dragons, evolved to thrive in the harsh conditions of the Sea of the Dead.

Geography

The Sea of the Dead is a vast body of water around half the size of the country of Norheimsk. The entirety of the sea is covered with a thick layer of fog and there are three islands located within, of which the largest one is inhabited. It is rumored that on one of the islands, the legendary Cobalt Blue Moizottaite, one of the five legendary gems required for forging the Aetherium Master Armor, is located. The Sea of the Dead is a very deep sea, giving plenty of space for large monsters to roam freely.

Fauna & Flora

There is very little in the ways of flora within the Sea of the Dead. The only Flora present is:
  • Pine trees
  • Shrubberies
  • Algae
  • Coral reefs
  • Seaweed
  • Plankton
In the ways of Fauna, there are several creatures that inhabit the sea, including:
  • Aquatic Nightmares
  • Wyrms
  • Various fish species
  • Various bird species

Natural Resources

There is very little in the ways of natural resources within the Sea of the Dead. The few fish that inhabit the sea are not bred or caught by the Dwarves since it is simply too dangerous to set sail on the sea. The same goes for the abundance of algae that grow along the sea's floor.
