A famous halfing soprano, Maria has been performing for years. A master of not just her voice, she is also known as something of a chameleon, disguising herself to play any number of roles. With an impressive range and powerful instrument belied by her size, she has played women, men, monsters, children, gods, and fairies.
However, what is truly remarkable is that she has been performing in the opera world for almost 300 years, and has not seemed to age a day. She always responds to questions about this subject by saying it is rude to ask a lady her age. Some say she is one of the gods disguising herself, others say she made a deal with a devil, and others say there have actually been multiple “Maria Piedelpiccolos” throughout the years, with each one training a successor to take over for her when they want to retire. If anyone knows the truth, however, they have never said.
