Sephorians

Angelic creatures of cold fury.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Sephorians are very pale, and tall bi-pedal creatures with light colored hair and cold pastel eyes. They sport four feathered wings on their backs and have very elongated wings. Their pupils are diamond in shape and they have light blue sclera.

Genetics and Reproduction

As Sephorians are primarily female it is rare for them to breed with their own species. They are typically forced to breed with Mythos or their own creations due to the high chance of hybridization. As Sephorian genes are considered recessive Hybridization is assured if they breed with most other species. To counteract this the Sephorian's took to producing sub species in order to find suitable breeding partners. Thus, although a creature will likely be considered a Sephorian there are very very few "Pure" Sephorians.

Sephorians grow with their magic production in stages so it can take thousands of years or only some ten years for them to reach full maturity.

Civilization and Culture

History

The Sephorians were the of the first species to evolve sapience on Terrani. Due to this, they were already advancing in civilization when the Dreadians and Mythos were becoming sapient. Despite their advantage Sephorians were less powerful than their cousins and tended to stick to themselves viewing the Dreadian's and Mythos' magic to be reckless. Despite their differences all three species were peaceful, finding that they each preferred different parts of the Continent of Terrani without competition. In fact it was soon discovered that each of the three Primordials were uniquely suited for helping each other in areas of weakness. Through this cooperation and the aide of the god of knowledge Kythos all three kingdoms prospered for many eons.   The first disruption to the Sephorians came when a band of Draedians sought to overtake the balance and set their species as higher than the other two, viewing the vigilant Sephorians as a threat they decided to attack. A battle ensued causing damages to the Sephorian population that had very few males to their females already. After what seemed to be an impeding loss for the Sephorians the rouge Draedians disappeared altogether. The Sephorians became even more secluded after this event and became wary of the Dreadians and the newly discovered Dragons.   Real trouble did not begin however until in time with the birth of a strangely powerful Dreadian the continent of Terrani started shaking and volcanic activity was increasing. The Sephorian's afraid that the Dreadians did something in another attempt to usurp them and the Mythos secluded themselves in the uppermost locations of the continent. Reports that the unrest was due to an angry and vengful god made it to the ears of the Sephorians and the Mythos sensing danger sought to make their homes in the forests of the upper realm. This was sanctioned by the Sephorians as they had maintained friendships with their more tribal cousins. Soon a little known Draedian Lejiari was reported as vanquishing the cause of the planets unrest and killing the anomalous being. The Sephorian's held their breath but were unprepared for the catastrophic explosion one year later. The devastation of the explosion of magic was incomparable. The continent cracked, and the entire southern half of the great continent was left a wasteland. The survivors, Sephorians, Draedians and Mythos alike all fled north, eventually establishing a wary alliance once again.
The Sephorians desperate to establish a stronger lasting peace and to keep the radical Draedians in check after the crowning of Lejiari's son, Kinari as prince decided to implement a guardian system to protect all others. Exceptionally gifted Sephorian's were given the title of Guardians and set in a temple overlooking the northern lands in order to protect all from evil. This was an excellent idea as nearly 1,000 years after the dying a new threat emerged from the ashes of the south. The Great Shadow war would be the beginning of the true decline of the Sephorians and other Primordials. As Roan, warlord of chaos and his Dark generals laid waste to their remaining populations. The Guardians fought back hard, but it soon became clear that no one would be able to match the ferocity and power of Roan. In despair for their losses the remaining guardians hatched a plan to eradicate the forces of the Marid and Roan relocating the small clans left alive to the islands off the northern most part of the continent and planning to do as the God Destroyer Aster had done in the south. Unfortunately the radical power hungry Lejiari betrayed the Sephorians and attempted to redirect the bomb to eradicate everything but Draedians. In a twist event, Roan's Gold General
