The Conqueror of the Sea

Queen Imogen Arcwood, The Conqueror of the Sea

Queen Imogen was the Arwish admirer and the queen of the Kingdom of Arcwood. Reigning from 120 to 89 BVE, she was well-known as the queen who unified and got rid of any foreign influence over the Ronminar Isles under the new name of the Maritime Kingdom, with her admiralship and naval advancement.

Personal history

Born in 145 BVE, she's the king's second child and the eldest daughter in the dynasty. During her youth age, she learned about a series of wars that last long before her birth. These were not her business though; She never became the ruler since her only brother, Immet, was surely the next king. As such, all she did was to learn to become a good housewife.

Nevertheless, she spent some free time after boring practices to visit the various place, until her passion had been found at the Arwish Navy. She felt excited to see the fleets, both allies, and enemies, sailing upon the sea. She asked the commander to board one of their ships playing around on the deck.

Did so many times she became familiar with everyone on board, she then learned to become the sailor, to the point that she could give hands during the engagement. This led to her parent's frustration when her secret was revealed, but over time they had to accept her fate. It's a fun and interesting non-heir lifestyle.

Sadly though, it had come to an end. The death of Immet during one campaign against the Kingdom of Eukal forced her to go back to the royal palace. As they had no son left to inherit, Imogen became the next succession. She's coronated In 120 BVE at the age of 24.

Employment

At the time, the Unification of Ronminar Isles was almost completed. The only place they had to take over were the colony of Sria. Protected by the Irgia Republic, the enemy was always be fed by a gigantic Irg Armada. Although the kingdom could've stopped the conquest, the fear they launched and patrolled around the isles was what she considered as the greatest threat to be overcome.

If she defeated them, no one would ever dare to mess with them the islanders, ever again.

Accomplishments & Achievements

With her experience from a young age, and the political power she held, she used it to focus on improving the navy. An improvement in logistics to increase the shipbuilding speeds; The installation of the catapult for close-encounter led to the early type of bombardment; The invention of a new type of ship to have a higher hull than any ship at the time for maximum defense tactics, being described as the movable fortress.

Therefore, brand new royal fleets had succeeded in humiliating the Irg by destroying half of their Armada, to the point she blocked the Long Bay from the Irgian Channel, getting rid of their sea power entirely.

The festival was held to celebrate the end of the unification war in 110 BVE, and the Maritime Kingdom was formed.

Later Life

Later on, she married the Prince of Eukal, giving birth to 2 sons. As no major wars for decades, her life became much easier. Whenever an important meeting or trade was established, she'd been given respect. Being known not only as the royal passager but the conqueror of the sea (Sometimes she brought her children's onboard too)

During her trip back from the West in 89 BVE, on her new type of ship in the middle of the Esparia Ocean, she got sickened by the myterious flu from one of the crews. While it slowly killing her, however, she ordered to fake that she's alive throughtout the trip as to keep the crews' morale. She died a few days after.

Her body was put inside the sealed casket, hidden from everyone until the trip was over. The news of her death caused the sorrow across the isle. She's buried at her tomb at the palace, and her death ship was honored as The Grand Immy.

Great article! Look out though you have 'Mental Characteristics' as a title and don't have any characteristics under it! Love all the history though, she sounds really cool, it's a pity she had to leave sailing so suddenly but at least she got to spend her last moments at sea :)

Thank you. I agreed that I still have to figure out the mental section, but I appreciated it :)
