The Grand Immy
History
It's the queen's ambition to explore the west despite the inconvenient conditions. Normally, the kingdom cannot go further beyond the shallow water since the wind and ocean current seem to blow back to their island most of the time.
Following the end of the First Channel War, the queen's land was surely in peacetime. All the knowledge she got had been applied precisely to build a one-of-the-kind ship to go to the west as she desired.
Therefore, she commissioned her royal shipwrights. It took 5 years to complete, not including building additional experimental ships which might take as well a total of 10 years. The ship was laid down in 95 BVE, and took on the journey in 90 BVE.
After the queen's death, the Grand Immy have become the royal flagship for the Maritime monarchs used in ceremonial events. The admiral commanded the ship guarded by two or three galleys. The shipbuilding techniques used on her might be applied to the kingdom navy, which results in a bigger, better, stronger warship. However, she'll never get a chance sail across the deep ocean again.
Propulsion
The Grand Immy is the mix of a galleon and a trireme. The hull of is made of hardwood, with the strongest point on the curved foremost for easily ramming the enemy ship. She has at least 2 or 3 masts with 1-2 sails each as the main propulsion and controller. The hull is taller than any warship back then, consisting of 3 floors; The storage, the live quarter, and the operator where the ship used the secondary propulsion: 10 to 20 oars.
Weapons & Armament
The ship used steel harpoons as her main weapon, launched by a powerful ballista. During wartime, she also have catapults installed to throw some boulders or fireballs upon the enemy ship.
