Mastiff
Mastiff's are thought to be the companions of the resilient and the downtrodden, seeking masters in the poorest areas of society and will stay with them till their dying breath. In Dagor culture, a Mastiff is said to have a literal heart of gold which is used in legends as a test of character. If the Mastiff's master does something terrible to another person or the dog, then the golden heart will melt and the gold, seeping into the bloodstream, will kill the dog. Hellalander Shepherd's are thought to be the companions of warriors and lawmen. In Hellalander culture, a Shepherd is said to be a shining example of clairvoyance, and that wherever one sits, a spirit watches over the spot looking to the Shepherd for judgement. Islegate Retriever's are thought to be the companions of wanderers and adventurers, seeking out masters ready for, or which them deem ready for, quests. In Dagor culture, a Retriever will always have a goal or destination to reach but will never know the full way on how to get there. Beagle's are thought to be the companions of hunters and rangers. In Mordwynn culture, a Beagle is said to be a physical embodiment of the forest, knowing all the creatures in the woods it was born in and being able to smell anything, anywhere, as long as it is in the same forest as they are. It is said that they can smell the character of a man miles before seeing them.Boxer
Boxer's are thought to be the companions of fighters, never giving up or surrendering at their master's side till their dying breath. In Hellalander culture, a Boxer is said to have a litter with the same amount of pups as their master's enemies they have killed. Only after the litter has grown strong enough to survive on their own does the Boxer's spirit falter, before passing away and allowing the pups to take up their mantle by their master's side.Husky
Huskies' are thought to be the companions of isolationists and travellers, making sure their chosen masters are never alone. In Frosian culture, a Husky is said to never be cold, with their fur being able to resist the strongest of magics and freezing waters.Pointer
Pointer's are thought to be the companions of helpers and caregivers, seeking out masters in need or in areas affected by disaster. In Dagor culture, a Pointer is said to be a herald of a tragedy if one arrives during a calm period of peace.Pit Bull
Pit Bull's are thought to be the companions of the hideous and monstrous, seeking out masters in the cast outs and disfigured of society. In Dagor culture, a Pit Bull is said to be a sign of good luck and the opportunity of a second chance.Frosian Sheepdog
Frosian Sheepdog's are thought to be the companions of the spiritual and literal lost. In Frosian culture, a Sheepdog is said to be a wandering spirit which arrives at their chosen master's darkest moments to guide them where they need to be.Greyhound
Greyhound's are thought to be the companions of travellers, but never seeking out a master for life usually tagging along with caravans. In Dagor culture, a Greyhound is said to be guardian spirits of safe journeys who you can say a prayer to before making a trip to ensure you don't end up in trouble.
