Emperor Eleanor Duskh, wife of previous Emperor John Duskh reigns following her husband's death at the hands of assassins allegedly employed by Sarian agents. As his closest surviving relative, she was first in line to be approved by the Senate to lead the Empire.
Eleanor's children, twins by her husband, are now 19 years of age and both have quickly gained rank and experience in the military. Knowing they would face competition should they need to succeed their mother, George and Henry have already assigned roles to themselves, with Henry showing great promise and skill in warfare and George showing equal skill in leadership and politics. Although neither has officially been favored by the Emperor to succeed her, most people expect George to be the most likely choice should Eleanor choose to step down or otherwise be unable to rule, and it is likely then that George would install Henry as his Marshal.
