The Order of Celestial Sentinals

Not long after the Tuqueti Gnomes settled in the Jigirasasa mountains, it quickly became apparent that the rugged mountains would not allow their people to survive unharmed unless they took a proactive defense. Gnomes have never been known for their martial prowess, on the whole, but over the generations, a small order would develop within Tuqueti society.
Born from necessity for self preservation, and guided by their gnomish curiosity for understanding of the divine, the Parivvar Chahavirish (Order of Celestial Sentinals) would serve as the pinnacle of Tuqueti martial prowess. Members of the order swore oaths of servitude to their people, and were task with guarding their people's most sacred treasures, and most revered scholars.
In order to join the Sentinals, an acolyte must offer, after several years of initial training, a sacrifice deemed worthy by their peers, to show loyalty to their cause, and devotion to their ideals. In exchange, members are indoctrinated into the Sentinals holy ranks as equals, given privileged access to holy sights often considered too sacred for some Tuqueti, and instructed on secretive fighting techniques developed to maximize the gnome's small stature.

Fighting Styles

Among the Orders secrets are several obscure fighting styles that have been developed and passed down through the generations to members of their ranks. Not merely martial forms and stances, the combat forms of the Celestial Sentinals is a complete mind-body regime that, if properly mastered, allows a practitioner to utilize the wielder's intellect as an extension of their body and weapon.
While several divergent variations, such as the Path of Geometric Defense, or Path of Circular Axiom, each is based around a mind-body orientation. By understanding all the various motions available to an opponent, once can deduce their range of movement and endurance. In doing so, one can, with consistent training, simulate a range of possibilities, and find the most appropriate area to counter attack. In other words, by leveraging gnomes natural intelligence and ability to reason abstractly, warriors of this order can anticipate their foes movements by sheer cognitive power.
"A battle should begin and end before the first blade is drawn", is an oft quoted sentiment among its adherents.
