Aessabell Vaneer
Aessabel Vaneer (a.k.a. "The Crystal Queen")
Aessabell Vaneer is a young woman of Istharian descent.
She is the founder and leader of one of the Six Gangs of Isthramir. Her, and by extension the gang's, goal is to becoming the most powerful gang in the town and destroy the others, particularly the Kanna Domar.
Aessabell grew up in Isthramir and is the eldest daughter of the Vaneer family, a group of Hunters who operate in the Hidden Forest.
She grew up alongside, and is the same age as, Illusia de Lunala Blanca and Vanice Fionn. However she didn't see eye to eye with the pair, often fighting with them (usually instigating). In particular, she has a rivalry with Illusia.
Despite this there weren't many children of the same age at the time, so all the kids knew one another. Of those, Aessabell's best friend was Lode Minor, who often ended up the more reasonable of the two in resolving conflict.
How does she keep her followers? Aessabell runs on the idea of "I'm an amazing person who can reach the top of the world." She does this so much that she essentially instill's the idea that "Your not as amazing as me, but if you stick with me I can pull you up," which is enticing to a lot of her followers.

Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Aesabell is fit, and relatively broad. She focuses on power over agility, with a particular focus on toughness and endurance. Her colour scheme is primarily orange, though this is expressed through her Emblem (more specifically, the Orange Hessonite crystals that she produces from her body).
Facial Features
Aessabell's Emblem is located in the centre of her forehead. As a Production type Emblem, it is Blue in colour and whenever she moulds its shape, it stretches down her face to whichever body parts she moulds it towards.
Aessabell often covers her Emblem, typically with a layer of Crystal she produces from it that acts as a small helmet. This Crystal is Hessonite, so Orange in colour.
When she uses her Emblem, it glows a faint blue, that shines around the Hessonite to create a contrasting blue aura around the orange crystal.
Special abilities
Emblem: Aessabell's Emblem is a production type, reflecting Illusia's own.
Aessabell's specific ability is Crystal Creation - allowing her to produce Crystals from her Emblem. By default, she produces Hessonite, an Orange crystal.
The Crystals she produces are jagged and unshaped. This reflects her character, as she is currently unrefined and messy, struggling with her own traumas. However, she has the potential to move past this. As she refines and improves herself, moving past her personal hang ups and struggles, her Crystals will be produced smoother, more Gem like, and easier to work with.
Aessabell is quite skilled with her Emblem and is able to Mould (the ability to manipulate an Emblem into different shapes around the body, primarily to extend it to different body parts) it around her entire body, though can only Mould it to one body part at a time. For example, she could have it extend from her forehead (its origin) to her feet in length, but couldn't have it travel to both feet at once, or both an arm and a leg at the same time.
Techniques:
Aessabell has developed various techniques stemming from her Emblem
1. Crystal Armour: Primary Technique. Aessabell Moulds the shape of her Emblem to extend it to a body part, then produces Crystal from it. If she keeps her Emblem "attached" to the produced Crystal, she can manipulate it, allowing her to move the body part. If she "detaches" her Emblem, it sets in place and is difficult for her to move.
1.5 Full Body Armour: After producing "Crystal Armour" Aessabell "detaches" her Emblem and move it to another body part to produce more armour. She does this till her body is covered (doing so 1 body part at a time). This offers full body protection, but makes it nearly impossible to move as the Crystal can no longer be manipulated further.
2. Crytsal Propulsion: Aessabell will produce Crystal to push herself around. Mainly used in her Full Body Armour state to allow some basic movement.
3. Crystal Skates: Aessabell produces thin blades of Crystals from her feet. These act like Ice Skates, allowing her to move if she has momentum. This is especially useful in Isthramir, where ice and snow commonly cover surfaces. She has little skill in actually skating, and is terrible at stopping, so she usually ends up travelling quickly in a straight line till she crashes. Due to this, she only uses her Crystal Skates when using her Full Body Armour to give her some protection.
4. Crystal Lance: By forming a spear shape with her hand then producing Crystal around it, Aessabell can form a shape similar to a jousting lance with a sharp tip. She'll then use this to spear opponents.
5. Hunting Shot: Aessabell forms a pointed funnel with her hands, then produces a mix of small crystal shards and "liquid crystal" at high amounts within it. This causes a high build up of pressure and the mixture shoots out with high force. This is based on Sand/Abrasion Blasting.
Apparel & Accessories
Aessabell always has an orange Crystal "Crown" that's produced from the Emblem on her forehead. This covers her Emblem and offers protection from attacks. Due to her Emblem's nature, she can quickly expand this to form a helmet for greater protection.
Specialized Equipment
Aessabell wears a cloak (regular, not a Cloakver) that can be removed by pulling a strap on either shoulder. This allows her to remove it easily when using her Emblem, which would be hampered by being too covered.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Aessabell grew up in Isthramir at the start of the town's downfall era. Consequently, during her youth she lived through the growth of the Gang's that split Isthramir in the current day.
This had a huge impacts on Aessabell's life at various points.
The most prominent impact was during the "Battle in Saga's Hall," where two gang's Emblem users fought against one another in the most prominent gang conflict up to that point. A twelve year old Aessabell was in Saga's Hall during this with Lode Minor, her best friend. Aessabell was the only one who survived.
Despite being saved during this, Aessabell could never understand why she survived when Lode didn't. In Aessabell's mind, it didn't make sense that she could survive with barely a scrath but someone she was holding hands with died. It never seemed fair. Was she quicker? Smarter? Was it luck? Did Lode have to die for Aessabell to live?
Aessabell's conclusion was that she needed to prove there was a reason for her to have survived, to prove that she survived because of some trait or characteristic she had. Because if not, then Lode died for nothing, just from an unlucky accident. This lead to Aessabell developing her mentality of "survival of the fittest."
Aessabell also formed a new life goal from there. To prove her worth, she'd surpass everyone, with the peak of her goal being the six gangs of Isthramir. In her mind overcoming them would show that was why she survived, that she was better than them. She hopes this will bring her closure on Lode's death and show they died for a purpose (this being that their death ultimately freed the Town).
One sticking point that always plays in Aessabell's mind, is whether Lode saved her life that day or not. She was leading, pulling Lode behind her as they ran away. She knows that Lode's hand left hers and that a piece of the ceiling fell to kill him What she isn't sure of is the order, and if she actually felt Lode push her away or not.
Aessabell isn't even sure if she wants an answer. Is it better for it to have been random chance? Or to know that Lode chose Aessabell over themselves?

Education
Has a moderately high level of education for Istharmir. She comes from a Hunter family, so learned the trade and the basic education that came with it (such as numeracy to calculate goods cost).
Key skills she's learnt from her Hunter background include trapping, tracking, and how to wear down prey.
After the "Battle of Saga's Hall" she was trained by Vorda (an Ex-Istharian Guard) in various areas. Primarily fighting, but also a range of skills that would help Aessabell become a leader in her own right.
Employment
Aessabell is from a hunter family, one of the oldest trades in Isthramir that's seen as noble due to its associations with Saga - "The Hero of Thunder Valley" - who is an Istharian hero.
As with most families in Isthramir, Aessabell worked alongside her parents to learn their trade. When young she stayed within the town, mainly helping with preparing Game for sale at the market. Once she became a young teen, she started joining hunts.
Mental Trauma
Survivor's Guilt: Aessabell never processed the death of Lode and how she could have survived, and she developed a sense of survivors guilt. Aessabell regularly has difficulties sleeping, and often turns to training or planning as a means of distraction.
She avoids any mention of, or celebrating, her birthday, typically feeling anxiety and guilt when it approaches.
Fear: Aessabell's greatest fear is the idea that there was no reason for her survival over Lode. The possibility it was purely chance haunts her, and her inability to accept that fuels her mental state. She also fears losing to the larger gangs of Isthramir, as this has become her "reason" for surviving and losing this is terrifying to her.
Intellectual Characteristics
Aessabell is intelligent, but not generally well educated. She is quick to pick up on information, and can create clever plans quickly with what she does know. She's also highly capable of deducing information and co-ordinating a response.
From an education point of view she's highly knowledgable about hunting, having hunted since she was young. Subsequently, she is an expert tracker, is skilled at setting up traps, understands pursuing "prey" and is knowledgable on different species and how their body parts are useful.
Morality & Philosophy
Aessabell's key moral trait is "survival of the fittest." Her mentality is that everyone is fighting to reach their personal "peaks" and have to step on/surpass others to do so. She doesn't necessarily like this idea, but views it as simply the way the world works.
Though she does believe this, she struggles with the execution as this is more something she's resigned herself to. She wishes that the world was about supporting one another, but is tied down by her personal experience.
This is the conflict she has with Illusia and Vanice. They're living the life she wishes she had, and she can't stand that they seem to be suceeding where she couldn't. Aessabell fights them to prove her superiority and she hasn't lived with this mentality in vain.
Personality Characteristics
Motivation
Aessabell is primarily motivated by her trauma of being the one who survived between her and her best friend when they were children. She has survivors guilt, primarily being driven by the idea of "why did I survive and they die?"
She decided there must have been a reason for this, and decided she had to prove there was a reason for her survival. As it was the gang's actions that resulted in her friends death, she decided that overcoming the gangs was her reason for surviving, so now aims to defeat all the gangs and place her own at the top. In her mind, this proves her superiority and gives her a reason to live.
Likes & Dislikes
Likes: Moon, Forests, Hunting, Gems, Creating Traps, Handholding (but fears it), Nail Art, Learning, Fighting, Winning, Vorda, Animals, Music, Lode
Dislikes: The other gangs of Isthramir, Illusia (they're rivals, got under eachothers skins since children), her birthday, sleep, weapons, Isthramir's Halls, food (particularly fond of ingredients and how different ones can be used for different meals).
Virtues & Personality perks
Aessabell has an unwaveringly high view of herself, or tries to push herself to believe it due to her backstory. She believes that she can surpass everyone and reach the "peak of the world." In someways this is an infectious mantra, as she all but demands others think it of her.
Aessabell, despite her belief in "survival of the fittest," can't help but struggle to put it into effect. She has a strong desire to help people, and genuinly believes her actions to overcome the larger gangs is to Isthramir's benefit. However Aessabell is firm in her belief that "survival of the fittest" is the truth of the world, so believes everyone has to keep up and shouldn't have help. If they fall behind, they couldn't cut it. She doesn't necessarily like it, but believes it is the way the world works. If someone does keep up though, she respects them.
Ultimately, Aessabell's development will be learning to use this mentality in a more positive way.
Vices & Personality flaws
Need to be the "special" one. Despite having a gang, she believes it forms because of/around her (which isn't necessarily incorrect). Tied to her virtues, her biggest flaw is letting people go if they "can't keep up."
This is something of a "lie" Aessabell tells herself. She genuinly does care about those people, but her world view has formed in a way that she cannot let herself help those people, as she cannot admit that she survived while her friend died for any reason other than her being "superior" in some way.
Wealth & Financial state
Personal: Low class. Hunter family, so earns enough to live off, however still live based on their hunts. A bad hunt means no money.
Gang: Middling. Aessabell's gang is wealthy enough to operate, and turns enough profit to pay its members. Though this isn't substantial enough for them to grow larger.
