Ravenwick

Ravenwick is a district that evolved into its own cultural community between Herron Heights and the Palace and is a buffer between them and the more pedestrian district of Tiremme. It is named after the Archwizard Ravenwick, an advisor to King Herron who founded the illustrious Wizard's College among its flinty hills and birch trees; since that time other kinds of schools have likewise gravitated to its windy streets and sloping grounds, partitioned neatly by low brick walls and hedges.    While the wizard's University of Magic is generally clean and neat, the area near the Bard's Colleges tends to be slovenly and rowdy, though friendly to newcomers - especially pretty ones. Many martial arts schools, druidic circles and fighter training centers are also found here, as well as the markets, taverns, moneylenders, pawn shops and pleasure houses that cater to the interests and needs of students and teachers alike. Housing is notoriously overpriced in the district, and despite being a place of generally more wealthy residents, it is also a high crime area relative to the districts around it - including Tiremme.
