Varesh Alan

At the southeast end of Rasharan's Valley of Spices, the Trail Of Spices winds down into the valley, leading northeast to Tirsh Nalani. A couple miles from the valley's southwest entrance, the road runs through the village of Varesh Alan.   Varesh Alan is largely a farming community, raising goats and chickens and harvesting seeds, spices, and flours from the fertile soil within the valley. The goats provide milk and cheese, as well as some meat, but the majority of the town's meat is obtained from hunting expeditions up to the plains surrounding the valley. Hunters collect hides and pelts from the diverse wildlife inhabiting the plains. Buffalo and wildebeasts are the most common, but lions, gazelle, and other savannah wildlife provide greater risk and greater spoils. The village has a thriving community of leatherworkers, and the hides and pelts they can't use themselves are traded to larger cities in the valley or sending them across to Myas'tara with various merchant caravans.
