Planes Of Existence

Temshai exists in its own pocket of the material plane. It was originally isolated from all other planes, but The Altering, occurring a few days into The Shield, created a tear in the planar fabric in addition to rending the southern portion of the Verthik Mountains. This change has allowed for planar travel to become possible and for influences from other planes to bleed into Temshai.
  The boundaries between planes are weakest in the dozen before and after the start of The Shield, and the dozen before and after the start of The Branches. During this time, travel between the planes is easiest, and can occasionally even happen by accident.
  During The Tome, the planes are unaligned, and planar travel becomes impossible, possibly stranding planar travelers on Temshai or abroad.
  At all other times, planar travel is possible to one who possesses the knowledge and skill, though journeying to another plane is no easy feat.
  Temshai campaigns use the planes in the D&D 5e multiverse, such as:
    • Astral Plane: the plane of thoughts and dreams
    • Ethereal Plane: a shadow-plane overlapping the material plane
    • Elemental Planes: planes of air, earth, fire, and water
    • Shadowfell: the realm of shadows, home of the raven queen
    • Feywild: home of faeries and other fey creatures
    • Mount Celestia: home of celestial beings like angels
    • The Abyss and the Nine Hells: home of demons and devils
