Glaive of the Cotnor Guard

A glaive generally given to soldiers in Kingdom of Cotnor that have gone above and beyond the call of duty. This weapon is a Cold boon.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

It has been forged of a thousand thin layers of steel. Truly a superior weapon, even before the dweomerwork.

Manufacturing process

Each of them is made by hand, by the royal smith, in the Kingdom of Cotnor. The date and the mark of the master smith that made it is engraved on the haft just below the head.

History

Rare Not required

Heavy, Reach, Two-Handed. When you roll a 20 with this magic weapon, the target takes an extra 2d6 slashing damage.

One of the weapons of the fierce fighters from the northlands, this magical weapon is engraved with whorls and circles down the haft. The steel of the head and butt are layered almost like beautifully glinting tree rings. In essence a spear with a sword mounted on one end and a counterweight on the other, Cotnor glaives are noteable in that the wood and steel are shaped to seem as if they are melded together. The huge northmen swear it make all the difference in the balance of the weapon.

This weapon grants resistance to Cold damage.
