Hartunian Family money has been buying up large chunks of
Craysilt over the last five years or so, in the Midbay area. Midbay is a well-to-do neighborhood that is being overrun with rich people bringing the term 'gentrification' to a whole new level.
The people already living in the areas being bought out are not very happy with the
Hartunian Family right now. The Hartunian organization's high priced lawyers have stressed that the endeavor is a personal project of Lady
Lydia Hartunian, and not of the family in general. They also stress that while they don't know what she's doing, they're sure it's nothing nefarious and this is all being blown out of proportion by bleeding heart hippies.
There is a group that has formed in the wake of all of the buyouts. A group of owners who are refusing to move, and are stymying Lydia's bid to own contiguous land in craysilt. They're calling themselves the "home body militia", and have not caved in to pressure. It is costing the Hartunians hundreds of ouces of gold a day to keep the heavy equipment and the operators poised and ready to go.

The High King's Seat. Lydia has produced documents claiming "Eminent Domain", and everything looks to be in order. Meaning the residents need to vacate, or face prosecution. They are not allowed to leave the vicinity of their homes, however, by hired mercs who have them surrounded. This is effectively blocking them from any kind of appeal.
