Asterium Computing

The knowledge of carving Asterium in such a way that it can preform computations using streams of magic.
The computations in an ACM, Aster Stone or Tome of the Ancients, can be temporarily disrupted by excessively loud noises. This is due to the metal resonating with the sound, and throwing off the alignment of the magic streams. How much each frequency disrupts a device's functioning is different for each device. Saveguards have usually been built in to detect such a disruption and halt calculations until it has passed.
