014. Lots of Noise and an Ancient Secret
After defeating the kobolds, the Legendary Beetles proceeded with the most obvious course of action: cutting of the heads for the bounty. After entering the tower, Gram Crackers discovered that the green book she had in her bag was glowing. The party decided to sleep first, of course with the required watchkeeping, and figure this out when they were well-rested. A period of problem solving ensued. During which, in no particular order:
The floor was broken open.
A wall had to suffer.
There was noise.
The party learned the Dragon's Teeth regenerate each night.
There was more noise, and some more controlled flute playing.
A book floated around.
Heads were cashed in for 3 gp.
Stairs were opened.
A Kobold education plan was thought up.
There was even more noise.
When the spiral stairs were opened, they lead into a mysterious underground building. After having avoided a not-very-well-concealed pitfall trap, the party discovered the charred remains of a Tal'Nadir, along with an oval shaped metal stone.
A ravine prompted Gimdalf to send Meneer de Uil down one end, while they explored the other end, which had a walkeable natural ledge.
