Aella, The Heart of the Sea
Before she was the Goddess of love, the moon and the sea Aella was a beautiful sea spirit. It was said that those who treated the sea with respect and love sometimes came across a breathtakingly beautiful woman. She was so beautiful that she caught the attention of two angels who both fell in love with her, Axdros and Forus. When all three ascended into godhood Aella chose to marry Axdros as she was deep in love.
Forus grew jealous and captured Aella. He took her to his dark fortress in the Astral Sea and locked her away so he could enjoy her forever. Axdros declared holy war against Forus. Forus looked sure to win the war when Axdros challenged him to a duel and was victorious. Many say the act of true love was what compelled Aella to become the Goddess of Love as well as the Sea.

Tenets of Faith
Aella views Love, the Moon and the Sea to be sisters. All are beautiful and brilliant and all hold a harsher side. While Aella is generally good she recognizes that love takes many forms including friendship, merriment, romance and even lust. The Moon is an emblem of beauty but also of shadows and the Sea is full of blessing but also dangerous. All three sisters are generally good but can also be fickle. She lives in Axdros’ keep and her name is always used in marriage rituals of all cultures.
