Rhadinian Hunting Dreadhull

The Rhadinian Hunting dreadhulls are the largest ships employed in the Rhadinian navy. The Hukrah currently has sixteen in operation, and a further forty-six are privately owned, almost exclusively by specialist Duttar Leviathan hunters.
the ships are all manufactured in Winfor, and were introduced during the reign of Haugh Moros I. They have never been used in actual naval combat.
They measure 30 metres, making them almost a match for the Leviathans they were designed to hunt. The wooden hulls are reinforced by Malleable metal, making them difficult to tear, But also near impossible to crack. The crew numbers at 50, though these are constantly being replaced as casualties can be very high. The survival benefit of the ship involves being able to sail after the loss of the lowest level, so Duttar Leviathan’s Can not disable the ship by attacking from below.

History

Introduced to the navy in 214AF, during the reign of Haugh Moros I, a fleet of ten were initially produced by the Hukrah. When results showed these ships to be the most effective model at hunting Duttar Leviathan’s, a further seventy were ordered, and production began on two specialised shipyards in East Winfor to produce the ships.
Over the course of Haugh Moros’ reign, over 130 of the ships were recruited in to the Rhadinian navy, bolstering Rhadin’s Navy to the largest and most powerful on the continent. In these years, an estimated 467 leviathans were hunted and killed (legally), more than halving the population. Just 32 of the 130 were sunk.
In 218AF, Haugh Moros is killed by Thrëdanian rogue legionaries on behalfof of the recently annexed river tribes. In the ensuing chaos, Aldehani insurgents torched both specialised Shipyards, burning 21 Dreadhulls, and reducing the number in circulation to 77. Though Haugh Moros II eventually seized power, he no longer had the capability to produce further Dreadhulls. In his 27 year reign, the number has further dwindled to 62 in circulation, with just 16 ships still operating in the Rhadinian Navy. Ceris Vaun owns four of the Dreadhulls, and is thus the second largest owner of the ships. The rest are privately owned by various hunters and fisherman, who still hunt for leviathans in the Southern sea.
