Ceris Vaun

Ceris Vaun is the largest crime syndicate in Rhadin , operating in cities from the Ver'Kalah border far-east Aldehan. They control a large portion of Rhadin  trade, and distribute 95% of illegal goods sold in the Rhadinian market. They are led by a council of anonymous, very powerful people, most notable of which being Lelas Adin, head of house Adin. They are known to the Hukrah, but too large and expansive to be dealt with without a significant amount of force and money being spent. Also, Lelas Adin is on the Hukrah, and dissuades the notion as best he can. Ceris vaun is responsible for the homeless epidemic in Taerden , profiting of the helplessness and gaining cheap employment and work.

History

Ceris Vaun was founded in 197AF, making it 48 years old. Originally, it was funded by the Kalahsinn Monarchy to destabilise Rhadin though they eventually pulled out during the third Rhadin-Kalah war. Since then, the syndicate has been able to fund itself, and continue to grow. During the reign if Haugh Moros I, they were able to gain good control over several of the newly formed outposts in former river tribe territory, meaning they control most of the Rhadinian trade over the Vendun sea, and can import Tobacco, a’bait, and poisons for Danuba and northern Autur. Ceris Vaun is actually the biggest employer in Rhadin besides the Monarchy, and has up to several hundred enforcers in some of the bigger cities.
The council meets up in various locations, but frequents the Adin Estate in the South Furun, secluded and huge, an ideal spot for organised crime. Ceris Vaun is not uninvolved in the power struggle, but mostly supports Kinoryn Dantas, Head of house Keroh, and a frequent user of illegal services Himself. Dantas is legally first in line tot he throne, though he is barred by houses Rothar, Sahin and Banen, who are all also competing for the throne. Lelas Adin is trying a best he can to bolster his claim, but the council will not support him, leaving him in a tough situation
