Den Haren
Den Haren led the Aldehani Coalition against Rhadin, led by Duas Arvun I During the Aldehan acquisitional war. Born in 31AF, he was appointed as high chief of the coalition at 34 years old, and died at the battle of Leivun at 41 years.
The Aldehani easily defeated the Furun tribes, and Den Haren was further recognised for his athleticism and ability on the battlefield. He was promoted by the new government to lead a contingent of tribesman in case of war. He performed effectively and well with these soldiers, and continued to rise up the ranks. In 63AF, he was one of the few high ranking army officials who marched to the aid of the western tribes when Rhadin Attacked. He struggled against the organised and well armoured Rhadinian armies, and was eventually beat back after the two year campaign. When Duas Arvun I pushed on into Aldehan, he was appointed high chief by the disorganised government, and he proceeded to rally massive armies to fight the Rhadinians.
He took the offensive, and attacked Arvun’s army head on, outnumbering them 3-1. They were resoundingly defeated at Madan fields, and forced to further retreat. Den Haren proceeded to employ brutal guerilla tactics in settlements and chokepoitns to try and cause casualties to the Rhadinians, but his soldiers were undeniably outmatched and rarely faced much success.
This slow skirmish continued until 76AF, when the battered armies of both sides met at the ravaged town of Leivun, in southwest Aldehan.
the Aldehani army was annihilated, Duas Arvun I and his generals employed successful tactics in singing the town and killed upwards of 99% of the Aldehani forces. Den Haren and Duas Arvun I met and duelled on the battlefield. Den Haren defeated Arvun and inflicted heavy injuries, but was cut down by the Rhadinian army before he could deliver the final blow.
Life
Den Haren was born in the northern tribes of Aldehan in 31AF. In his youth he frequently partook in the defence against Thrëdanian raiders, and grew to become a well esteemed and respected warrior in his adolescence. His parents are unknown, and he was not born into a position if particularly high status.
