Aldehan

Aldehan is a large territory under the control of The United Provinces of Rhadin, and is the second of five quinaries.
Historically, Aldehan was owned by a multitude of similarly cultured tribes, until 44AF, when a national government was created, and permanent settlements were built. The Aldehani people make up a large amount of the Rhadinian population, though the independence movement has faltered after continuous occupation.
Aldehan is now mostly used for maritime purposes, due to the abundance of natural docks and harbours. A large part of the quinary economy is in the fishing and cattle industries, with Aldehan being the biggest producer of food out of any of the quinaries.

History

estimates suggest Aldehan has been populated since at earliest 671PF, but the tribal coalition only rose in 45PF, and the First Aldehani government was only founded in 44AF,
Aldehan was fairly isolationist, but very territorial. They fought of Rhadinian, Furun and Thrëdanian tribes fairly easily, but were not particularly warlike peoples.
These pre-conquest Aldehani usually fought with spears, as they lacked the metal to produce larger bladed weapons, swords were reserved for the powerful.
The Aldehani stayed out of continental affairs until 63AF, when the far more organised Rhadinian armies attacked the western tribes under Duas Arvun I. The other tribes refused to get involved, fearing casualties. The western tribes put up a valiant defence, but were eventually conquered after a two year long exchange.
the remaining Aldehani were bitter, but not willing to go to war. However, Arvun marched his armies straight along the coast, continuing to skirmish against tribes and take towns. Because of this, the government appointed Den Haren as emergency high chief. Den Haren was a seasoned Warrior, and was able to rally the rest of the tribes to war.
the Aldehani acquisitional wars were long and bloody. The Rhadinians were successful in their battles the majority of the time, but were outnumbered by Den Haren’s Coalition. The war dragged on until 76AF, when Den Haren was struck down and killed at the battle of Leivun.
Rhadin Proceeded to occupy all Aldehani lands, dissolving the tribal system in Aldehan and killing most government officials. A sever indoctrination campaign followed, with all protests and resistance movements being put down as soon as possible. After about 20 years, the resistance movement had faltered and died, and over the next century Aldehani patriotism effectively ceased to exist.
Aldehan became the Agricultural hub of Rhadin, and mass migration occurred from the fairly overpopulated ancestral provinces to the newly accquisitioned Aldehani Quinary. Repair to the war battered ,and scale was quick, and various powerful Rhadinian houses were granted control of newly made provinces (Aldehani families were later given these titles during the reform for The United Provinces of Rhadin.
Aldehan was rarely involved in the further wars of Rhadinian expansion. They bordered almost entirely with Thrëdan, who formed a tentative alliance with the Rhadinians that lasted nearly a century. Aldehani men were conscripted and fought in all of the Kalahan wars, however.
Haldan Winfor represents a major turning point for the Aldehani in recent years. He led the defence against Ulan Kalahsinn and the new Ver'Kalahan Horde, and won a miraculous victory at the battle of Resham. His incredible victory assured him lots of power and influence, which was east for him to grasp due to the weak rule of Ser Rothar. House Winfor became almost on par with the Ancestral houses, and is now vying for a place on the Hukrah. His victory allowed Aldehan to become a much more prevalent and powerful quinary, and is without a dopant the second most influential in Rhadin.
