Kings Siegward and Sepp

A Ratten born with two heads when two fetuses merged imperfectly in the womb. Siegward retains control over nearly all of their shared body, while Sepp has a brilliant mind but no means of communication or interaction with the world. Due to their deformity, they were spared the usual compulsory military service, and instead found their way to being chosen as the heir to the previous King of the Rattenvölkern. Their appearance could best be described as 'hideous', but they rule as best they can, seeking to perhaps, at long last, establish a place for their people in the world above, by any means necessary.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Much of the Kings' body is in fairly good shape as far as Ratten go. A bit on the tall and lanky side, but healthy and hearty. It's only at their shoulders and up that their deformity is clear, and it's certainly very clear. The bones of the shoulders stretch unnaturally wide, set to accommodate two fully-formed heads, each of which is a unique individual.

Siegward, the primary brother, is the right of their body's two heads. He is in full control of their body, and notably suffers from far fewer outward mutations than his sibling. His fur is sleek, his eyes clear, and though he's missing the majority of his left ear, he is otherwise in perfect condition as Ratten go. Sepp, on the other hand, was unfortunately not so lucky. Though he kept both ears, his left eye is cloudy and can barely see, and his fur grows in strangely wavy, giving him a shaggy and unkempt appearance regardless of what the two attempt to do with it. His mouth is also almost entirely non-functional. He can control his jaw only slightly, and can do little beyond it. During moments or strenuous activity, Sepp's tongue has been known to loll out of his mouth in an incredibly disturbing way, though most of his subjects will either ignore it or politely notify Siegward in order to have it fixed.

Prior to their crowning, Seigward was an archivist and student of literature. Sepp, meanwhile, studied to become a doctor. Medical knowledge never truly stuck for the primary brother, but Sepp was able to talk him through most procedures in their joint practice to good effect. Even in their current position as King, the pair keep up their scholarly ways, and Sepp has been known to coax his brother into making the odd visit to a local clinic or hospital in order to help however they can.
