Altean Mechan

Altean Army mechans have a distinct, humanoid silhouette that is unfortunately shared by Diezen Mechans. Where they differ is that Altean mechans are a desert sand beige, and their eye displays are yellow. While modifications exist, they are usually to either accomodate weapons with large Maiga requirements or for humanitarian missions.

Anatomy

Shaped like a human male at 5' 10", there is little to no deviation from the standard pattern of an armoured metal exterior with natural materials running through the body to power and provide input to the mechan. Vents in the lower back allow maiga to reach their maiga harness. The face is featureless, lacking even a nose, and has a wide, oblong screen covering the eye region. This screen displays a pair of cartoony, tall oval eyes that can communicate human emotions, though wether the mechans are actually advanced enough to feel them is a hotly contested subject. Ears are replaced with oval domes that house auditory equipment, and vision is obtained through cameras hidden behind the eye display. Fully articulate arms, hands, legs, torso and head means that they can do anything within the human range of motion, if not exceeding that in some cases. Occasionally, the human shape is disrupted with a back mounted module, usually carrying either a large charge or relief supplies.
