The Clasp

Tarroc's most powerful invisible organization

The Clasp are a highly secretive and ancient criminal organization who are believed to exist in every major Tarrocian city. Due to the nature of their work and the extreme competence of the criminals whom they employ, almost nothing is known about them. The general public isn't even aware of their existence.

Structure

The Clasp is known to have roots nearly everywhere across Tarroc. Nobody can claim to know for sure the structure of their organization, but it would seem that there is one person in charge in each city who employs hundreds of peons to do a wide variety of jobs. It is not known if there is a global leader for the Clasp, so it's possible that each city's syndicate operates independently.

History

The Clasp have likely been around as long as there have been major cities in Tarroc. Most historians guess that it started somewhere in Amayarr , though they do not tend to leave much of a trace. Over the centuries, many government officials have been found to be cooperating with the Clasp, but so far none of them have made what they've known public, making it practically impossible to trace the history of this organization.
