Emberthorn Crags

Where the rocs fly free

To the west of Gibraltar lies an untamed wilderness set high in mountains that overlook the Great Sea. Though rich in ore, the Emberthorn Crags are a dangerous and unpredictable mountain range that should only be traversed by experienced navigators.

Geography

The Emberthorn Crags are a relatively small mountain range on the west coast of the Kingdom of Gibraltar's most central island. At their highest, they are about 6,000 feet above sea level, with several volcanoes sprinkled in between what are mostly benign, normal mountains.

Fauna & Flora

The wildlife of the Emberthorn Crags is typical of most mountain ranged on Tarroc. Many birds and reptiles call them home, living within the grassy valleys and dense forests between the peaks. Occasionally wild griffons can be spotted flying throughout, usually in pairs or alone; even more rarely, a roc may be spotted flying overhead.

Natural Resources

The Emberthorn Crags are rich with iron and gold, though only the eastern portions of the mountain range have been mined due to their proximity to Gibraltar and the amount of danger present deeper within the crags.
