History

In the land of Tarin, seasons don't change based on shifts in the planet's tilt and distance to its Sun. Instead, Knights of the Gods of Creation and Destruction wage endless war over the small country of Isos. In the center of the country is the Seasonal Temple and the Seasonal Throne, and the God's Vessel who sits the Seasonal Throne will dictate the current season. The Knights of Creation wage war for an endless Summer, while the Knights of Destruction battle for eternal Winter.   Of course, most mortals will never observe these wars up close and personal. Some may entertain themselves with Exhibition Matches, highly controlled fights between Knights. Others long to be a part of the conflict themselves.   Rather than choosing the life of a Knight, enterprising Runesmiths created the game "Struggle of Seasons". Originally the game was owned only by individuals of higher class due to the expense related to creating the game. In modern times, the game is played by those from all walks of life.

Execution

Take command of the forces of Creation or Destruction, and fight for the Seasonal Throne!
Struggle of Seasons is a two player game. Each player controls either the army of Creation or the army of Destruction. The goal of the game is to successfully move the Vessel from the bottom or top of the board to the Seasonal Throne, claiming victory for your side. Rather than play with dice or set rules regarding Knight combat, each player has a set of small 5-6 inch tall figures that include runes to allow them to move and fight in real time. Due to this feature, the Struggle of Seasons is always fresh and new; just because a particular figure did well last time doesn't mean it will succeed this time. Players will typically have at least three of each Knight class so they can form squads of their own design   Figures do not move without their players direction, and become inert if taken off of the game board.
