A group of adventurers, led by Igor the Brave , sets out to find the Gods' Hand, a golem that, according to myth, will turn the tide of any battle, in an effort to break the siege of Drythe. While most believe Igor's noble spirit led him into this undertaking, some scholars believe that Igor undertook the quest fulfill a debt to the Duke of Drythe, his future father-in-law.
