Noblewoman Murdered in Karradone

After an Imperial party, the Countess Michelle La Sonne, a noble visiting the court from near Phelandria and her retinue are robbed and murdered in the gardens just outside the City Palace. Finally feeling the same outrage as his citizens at the growing boldness of criminals within Eldoria, Emperor Kern d'Uthar XI demands that the criminals be brought to justice even if every "den of malcontents, tavern of ill repute, and dark alley in the city must be razed". He triples funding for the Karradone Sentinels and within months the dungeons are overflowing with criminals as arrests occur faster than magistrates can sentence them to the gallows. The Countess's murder, however, is never uncovered.
