The School of Pure and Applied Thaumaturgy, in Karradone, is burnt to the ground by a mob thousands, lead by Imperial Legion who had been ordered to defend it. Magi, defending their campus, slayed nearly half of the mob before finally succumbing to their overwhelming numbers.
