Deciding that his estate was too far from the Zennonaize Confederacy to benefit from participating in it, Vadim Dekkin wrote a note declaring his independence instead of paying his taxes. Noting that the former Cavalryman's salary was more than the taxes, bureaucrats allowed Dekkin his freedom and pocketed the difference.
