Shrine of the Tree

When Human and Soulmeliti first arrived in Hopki Bay, one priest of Tyloma in exile brought with him the sapling of an oak tree that had been smuggled out of New Solarin. Planted shortly after the settlers came ashore, they built a circular shrine of smoothly hewn slate, inlaid with lapis lazuli and gold. With the tender ministrations of Tyloma's priests, it has grown into what describe as the perfect example of a white oak. Through their magic, the tree has dwarfed, its top branches reaching no more than twenty feet in the air, exactly the height of the shrines open aired walls. It has become a holy site of meditation and contemplation for the displaced Soulmeliti of the city, a connection to the homeland that they loved but to which they no longer wish to return.
