Rashali Sha'Vorka
First Elynthi to Summon a Major Demon
A member of House Vorka, Rashali showed exceptional promise as a child and, like others of that great house that displayed aptitude, was shuttled over to the church of Nosferian where he quickly rose in power and prominence. A brilliant combination of magical talent and political charisma, she had attained high standing in church when, just shy of her two-hundredth nameday, she committed an atrocity: summoning a greater demon. Predictably, the church excommunicated her. Less predictably, she summon a trio of greater demons and slew the high priest, taking the position for herself.
After solidifying her power, she successfully demonstrated the technique to others in the highest ranks of the church, overturning the thousand year old prohibition and initiating the grand era of demon summoning on the Merdenkal Peninsula. Many scholars argue that without this event, the Elynthi would never have attempted the Great War.
Sadly, Rashali died in relative youth a century later when she inexplicably used gooseberry juice instead of blood in one of her summoning circles. Members of House Vorka were certain that one of their enemies were behind the mistake but nothing was ever proven.
