Maurice du Chance
Religious Painter
Famous for his paintings of religious topics, Maurice was a prolific artist around the turn of the third century in Drythe. The son of a minor noble, he never married and went quite mad by his early forties, committing suicide by drowning himself in Transythe Bay. His works include depictions of most deities - Human and otherwise - a fact that angered a number of more religious Soulmeliti who felt that painting Tyloma in a series alongside the imaginary gods of mankind was a slight to their goddess. His most famous work, Tiras' Perch, was given to Vera the Black in recent years as gift from the High King of Prydith.
