Letters of Currency

Given the limits on mithril and adamantine trade bars to the south and west of Galencia, other means of transporting wealth are often used. Throughout the Empire of Eldoria and many of its former colonies, many travellers use Letters of Currency to avoid carrying large quantities of cash. These writs, complete with a wax seal, are issued by the Bank of Karradone, which has offices in most Imperial cities from Carboth to Yaty and even south into The Hinterlands. These writs can be exchanged for currency at any office for a nominal (typically 5%) fee.
