Theory of History
How much of this supposed scholarly work of history is based upon fact? And how much is simply the oral myths of a select few of Tarien's cultures? At the time of its publication, it was assumed that that Luke Grenache, who spent nearly two decades of his life researching this work, was clearly true. Otherwise, why would the University of Karradone publish it with the subtitle of the "definitive history of the dawn of time".
The truth of the matter, however, if modern scholars are to be believed, is that Grenache hand picked a few myths and legends from a few cultures - Soulmeliti, Khadra, and the Order of Shar'iish'ta. And even from those picked and chose the stories that fit the narrative that he had established in his head, detailng the various ages of history and his beliefe that Tarien was now it its Fourth Age. Does this mean that his theories are wrong? Of course not. Perhaps he was divinely inspired. Or, as many scholars no calim, perhaps his entire history is work of speculative fiction.
