Delathorn Roen'shai
Soulmeliti Merchant
Called the "Spider Whisperer" by his friends, Delathorn fell clearly on the mercantile side of the Roen'shai Family. His daugher once joked that he could cut himself on a practice sword (which for her was quite a bold attempt at levity). So, instead of learning the art of fencing, Delathorn learned the art of spider husbandry, developing the great silk farms that have added wealth to the long list of prestigious accomplishments his clan could claim. And while many Soulmeliti do not see wealth as virtue, his success brought Delathorn plenty of influence in New Solarin.
He also managed to found the now Human settlement of Bunning, its name an Eldorian mangling of the Soulmeliti word for "crossing" as the community developed around a small ferry he installed to help get his silks to mark in the Empire of Eldoria. Fortunately, Delathorn passed away in his sleep several years before Bunning burned. Many locals suggest that it is his vengeful spirit that guards the Soulmeliti graveyard just outside of the town.
