Adamantine Trade Bars

For a short period of time, between 730 AC and 739 AC, raw Adamantine flowed into Rathgar. Human smiths quickly discovered that they could do little with the material and much of it was shipped to the Empire of Eldoria and ultimately to the Underground Kingdom of the Children of Kharl. Some of the charcoal metal, however, made its way into the town reserves. One enterprising smith experimented successfully with creating a thin veneer of adamantine and applying it to a bar of platinum. Thinking that having large denominations of money based on precious metals would reduce their reliance on the Bank of Karradone, the City Council city council approved their production. Branded with the Citystate of Rathgar's flying swordfish banner, they enjoyed a limited run. they are so rare, and frankly unappealing, however, that most people don't realize that they even currency.
