This era is called this because the world changes so heavily. The aftermath of the Draconic Wars left a mess of conflicts, cracked and shattered nations, lost peoples. This was followed by strange cults and religions and dark ritualistic followings that reached a crescendo we call now the Abyssal Sundering. These last few hundred years have been the slow recovery of the continent from the Daemonic mass invasion.
