Dr. Olena Grafwood is a reknowned surgeon whom in her brief five years practicing became well known in Rekarsk as a master surgeon, specializing in bone repair. Many are the injuries she's helped set and cast that other lesser doctors would likely have amputated. This also means she must be given the proper respect as a dangerous woman, if not for her prowess, for her knowledge. Doktors are a sacred trust after all. They use their knowledge to heal, but their intimate knowledge of anatomy means they could just as easily turn to killing or worse.

Building herself a pretty fortune and reputation, Dr. Grafwood was a star in her field, a medical wunderkind, a savant. But about four years ago, she gave it all up, purchasing the Hospice of Lost Minds and moving out to this backwater town with many of her personal staff and their families following her, to run the mental institute.....and a dark shadow has been over the place ever since. Now rumors have traveled as far as your ears in Rekarsk, rumors that do not hold enough substance to bring down holy blade and fire immediately, but rumors that require a scalpel, if you will forgive the irony. A precision instrument. A Witch-Hunter's investigations. Rumors of torture, heretical procedures, and cold blooded murder. Sapient experimentation, and whispers of truly dark rituals. Of course such stories oft surround mental institutions, for treatments of sicknesses of the mind can oft....seem such even though they are not, and have legitimate scientific basis. However these rumors have become loud enough to warrant a proper...investigation of the good doktor, and if possible, a face to face interview and questioning....though without more concrete suspicions you will be hard pressed to avoid repercussions if you try to put her to the question.
