Seraphis

The Shield of Light Seraphis (a.k.a. The Winged Protector)

Seraphis, born from the divine essence of Solarius, embodies the highest ideals of valor, honor, and protection. As one of the first creations of the Dawn Father, Seraphis was designed to defend the realms and uphold justice and righteousness. He is often worshipped by warriors, guardians, and those who seek to defend the weak and uphold truth.   Seraphis is depicted as a noble and valiant elvish figure with a commanding presence. His flowing silver hair and piercing blue eyes inspire both awe and courage in those who gaze upon him. Seraphis’s majestic wings, said to be made of light itself, are a symbol of his role as a guardian of the realms. His golden armor gleams under the sun, a constant reminder of his connection to Solarius and his unyielding sense of duty.   He wields a mighty sword, known as Dawnbreaker, said to be forged from the first light of creation. In his other hand, he carries the Shield of Radiance, emblazoned with the image of the sun, which reflects any harm back upon those who attempt to break the laws of honor and justice. His followers often seek to emulate his courage, facing their own battles with the same sense of righteousness and dedication to protecting the innocent.   Seraphis’s most enduring love was with Callen, the goddess of light, love, and wisdom. Their bond represented the harmonious union of valor and compassion, strength and gentleness. However, this love was tragically cut short by the dark god Malakar, whose deceit led to Seraphis’s sacrifice, a defining moment in both his story and Callen’s grief.   Despite his death, Seraphis’s spirit continues to guide those who fight for truth and justice. His legacy endures in the teachings of his followers, and many believe he will one day return to lead a final battle against the forces of darkness.

Seraphis: His Sealed Fate and the Prophecy of Restoration

Though believed to have perished in his battle against Malakar, the dark god of chaos and corruption, Seraphis did not truly die. Malakar, enraged by Seraphis’s valor and love for Callen, devised a more sinister fate. Instead of allowing Seraphis to pass into the afterlife or return to the celestial plane, Malakar sealed Seraphis’s essence in a hidden realm—an eternal prison of twilight where his light could not shine. He let the world believe Seraphis had fallen, relishing in Callen’s grief and the chaos his apparent death caused.   However, ancient texts whispered of a prophecy, one that spoke of Seraphis’s return. Known as the Prophecy of the Twilight's Veil, it foretold the union of two destined souls—a mage and a warrior—who would unite their strength and magic to undo Malakar's curse and restore Seraphis to his rightful place among the gods.
In the twilight's veil, where shadows dance with fire's embrace, The arcane whispers bind the fates of two, intertwined by grace. Mage and warrior, destined in a cosmic fray, Their destinies entangled, as dawn breaks the day.   From ancient tomes, the prophecy unfolds, Foretelling conquest's glory, or despair that molds. In the depths of twilight, truth and falsehood collide, Paths diverge and intertwine, in fate's enigmatic guide.   The bond of magic and strength, a force to defy, In the labyrinth of destiny, where shadows lie. Against the dark god's domain, their spirits ignite, To bring forth the light, in the heart of night.   Their union, a beacon in the shadows to shine, To restore the lost, in the threads of time. In life, in love, in battle, their legacy is spun, To weave their fate, until the fight is won.

Love for Callen:

Seraphis's love for Callen was legendary. Their bond was forged through shared values and mutual respect. Together, they represented the perfect balance of light and protection. Their love story became a symbol of devotion and loyalty for all of Tanaria. Callen and Seraphis were both born from the divine essence of Solarius, the god of the sun, light, and life. Their creation was a testament to the divine power and love of Solarius. Callen was the radiant goddess of light and love, while Seraphis embodied valor, honor, and guardianship. From their earliest moments, their connection was profound and unbreakable, as if their very existence was intertwined by fate.
Their first encounter was during the Festival of Radiance, a celestial celebration held in honor of Solarius. As the sun reached its zenith, Callen's light illuminated the heavens, casting a warm glow that filled all with love and hope. Seraphis, drawn to her radiant presence, approached her with a mixture of awe and admiration. They exchanged words of wisdom and affection, instantly forming a bond that transcended the physical realm.
As the celestial realms faced threats from dark and chaotic forces, Callen and Seraphis often fought side by side. Their combined strength and determination made them a formidable pair. Callen's light would guide Seraphis's sword, and Seraphis's bravery would protect Callen's radiance. These battles further solidified their bond, each realizing they were stronger together than apart.

Creation of the Seraphelle:

In a gesture of love and devotion, Seraphis used his celestial blood to create the Seraphelle, a race of angelic beings made in his image. He wanted to ensure that Callen's light would always be protected and that their love would be represented in the world. The Seraphelle, embodying both bravery and compassion, became guardians of Callen's temples and bearers of her light. The Serapelle were tasked with upholding the virtues of Seraphis, acting as guardians and protectors across Tanaria. Their presence brought hope and courage to those in need.

    Personal history

From his earliest days, Seraphis was revered as a divine protector. He led the celestial host in battles against the encroaching forces of chaos and corruption, ensuring the safety of the mortal and celestial realms. His strength and leadership were unmatched, and he quickly became a beloved figure among the other gods and the mortals who worshiped him.   Seraphis was not only a warrior but also a mentor and guide, training lesser celestial beings, the Seraphelle, whom he had created from his own celestial blood. These angelic beings were tasked with upholding his virtues and protecting the temples of his beloved Callen, the goddess of light and wisdom.   Seraphis's life was marked by his deep and enduring love for Callen, the radiant goddess of light and wisdom. Their bond was a union of strength and compassion, with Seraphis serving as the protector of Callen's light and teachings. Together, they brought balance to the world, guiding mortals and immortals alike with love and valor.   However, their love story was not without its trials. Malakar, the god of chaos and corruption, grew envious of their harmonious union. In his jealousy, Malakar devised a dark plan to sever their bond and disrupt the peace they had brought to Tanaria. He spread a false prophecy that foretold the world's end unless Seraphis sacrificed himself.   Seraphis, believing the prophecy to be true, confronted Malakar in a fierce battle. Though Seraphis fought valiantly, Malakar’s dark magic overwhelmed him. But instead of delivering a clean death, Malakar sealed Seraphis's essence in the Twilight Veil, a hidden realm between life and death. The world believed that Seraphis had fallen, and Callen was left in mourning, her heart broken by the loss of her beloved. Unbeknownst to Callen and the other gods, Seraphis’s death was not final. His essence remained trapped, and whispers of a prophecy began to surface in ancient texts. This prophecy, known as the Prophecy of the Twilight’s Veil, spoke of two heroes—a mage and a warrior—who would unite to break Malakar’s curse and restore Seraphis to his rightful place. The prophecy was fulfilled by two unlikely heroes: Vela Starkissed, a Seraphelle—a race of lesser celestial beings created by Seraphis before his imprisonment—and Tenzin the Valiant, a noble Leonin warrior renowned for his courage and strength. Vela, born from Seraphis’s essence, carried a fragment of his power, her magic tied to his divine essence. Tenzin, a chosen champion of the gods, was imbued with immense strength and unwavering resolve. Both were guided by dreams and divine visions, compelling them to seek out the lost god.   Their journey took them through the Twilight Veil, a realm suspended between life and death, where shadows twisted reality, and Malakar’s influence warped time itself. Together, their bond of magic and strength grew as they faced trials designed to break their spirit. Along the way, they learned that their connection was more than fate—it was the culmination of Seraphis’s last hope and Callen's divine guidance, a beacon of light in the darkness.   In a climactic battle against Malakar’s forces, Vela and Tenzin unlocked the true potential of their bond. Vela’s celestial magic and Tenzin’s indomitable strength formed a powerful union, igniting the flames of dawn within the veil of twilight. Their combined force shattered the barriers of Seraphis’s prison, releasing his essence back into the celestial realm.

    The Return of Seraphis

Upon his return, Seraphis was forever changed by his imprisonment and the trials faced by his beloved followers. His wings, once silver, now bore the colors of both dawn and twilight, symbolizing his journey through darkness and light. His strength, wisdom, and resolve had only grown, and he once again took his place as a protector of the realms, beloved by mortals and immortals alike.   Seraphis’s temples were rebuilt, and his followers, the Seraphelle, continued to uphold his virtues across Tanaria. His love for Callen remained unwavering, and together, they represented the power of love, courage, and sacrifice in the face of darkness.   Today, Seraphis’s name is spoken with reverence by warriors, guardians, and those who seek to protect the innocent. His legacy as the Dawn’s Guardian, the god who defied death and returned stronger, continues to inspire generations of mortals and immortals alike.   Vela Starkissed and Tenzin the Valiant became legendary figures in Tanaria, revered not only for restoring Seraphis but for exemplifying the power of unity and the strength found in both magic and battle. Statues and temples were erected in their honor, forever commemorating their role in fulfilling the prophecy and restoring the Dawn’s Guardian.

    Accomplishments & Achievements

    • Creation of the Seraphelle: In a profound gesture of love and devotion, Seraphis used his celestial blood to create the Seraphelle, a race of angelic beings made in his image. These divine creations were designed to serve as protectors of Callen's light and as guardians of her temples. The Seraphelle embody both valor and compassion, acting as the defenders of the innocent and the bearers of divine light across Tanaria. Their presence is a testament to Seraphis's enduring commitment to safeguarding the world and upholding the virtues of courage, honor, and protection.
    • Protector of the Realms: Seraphis is revered for his unwavering defense of the mortal and celestial realms. He led the celestial host in countless battles against the forces of chaos and corruption, particularly during the rise of Malakar, ensuring the safety and order of Tanaria. His leadership and strength were unmatched, cementing his role as a beloved and powerful figure among the gods and mortals alike.
    • Restoration After Imprisonment: Though believed to have fallen in battle against Malakar, Seraphis was sealed away in the Twilight Veil, a hidden realm between life and death. Through the efforts of the heroes Vela Starkissed and Tenzin the Valiant, Seraphis was restored, emerging stronger than ever. His return symbolized resilience, hope, and the ultimate triumph of light over darkness, becoming a cornerstone of his legacy.
    • Guardian of Callen's Light: Seraphis has long been the protector of his beloved Callen, the goddess of light, wisdom, and beauty. Their enduring love and partnership are a symbol of the harmonious union of strength and compassion. His creation of the Seraphelle was not only an act of devotion to her but also a means of ensuring her light would always be protected.
    • Inspiration to Mortals: Seraphis's legacy as a protector of the weak and a champion of justice continues to inspire mortals. Warriors, guardians, and defenders across Tanaria invoke his name in times of strife, seeking his blessing to uphold honor and courage in the face of adversity.

    Failures & Embarrassments

    • Falling for Malakar’s Deception: Seraphis's most significant failure was his inability to see through the false prophecy crafted by Malakar, the god of chaos and corruption. Despite his wisdom, he believed that his sacrifice was necessary to prevent the world's end. This mistake led to his imprisonment in the Twilight Veil, allowing chaos to spread unchecked and leaving his beloved Callen heartbroken. His belief in the prophecy remains a point of deep regret, as it was the catalyst for his temporary downfall.
    • Imprisonment in the Twilight Veil: Seraphis's defeat at the hands of Malakar and subsequent imprisonment in the Twilight Veil is a source of great shame. As a god of valor and guardianship, his inability to protect the realms during this time deeply wounded his pride. His absence left the world vulnerable, and the fact that mortal champions had to intervene to free him only added to his sense of failure.
    • Diminishing of the Seraphelle: One of the most heartbreaking consequences of Seraphis's imprisonment was the weakening of the Seraphelle, the race he had created from his own celestial blood. After his "death," the Seraphelle lost their ability to reproduce, their connection to Seraphis's divinity severed. This caused their population to diminish over time, and their power, once fueled by their divine bond to Seraphis, began to fade. Seraphis blames himself for this loss, as his imprisonment rendered him unable to protect or guide his creations when they needed him most.
    • Guilt Over Callen’s Grief: The pain Seraphis caused Callen by his absence is a deep source of guilt. Her grief, manifesting in the creation of the moon Callista, was a direct consequence of Seraphis's failure to return to her side. He carries the weight of her sorrow, knowing that his fall left her alone in the world for a time. Though reunited, the emotional scars of this separation still linger for both of them.
