Mildoran Companions

Years, decades, centuries, millennia, no one is quite sure how long the Mildoran companions have been surveying Tanari. Even more mysterious still is their origin, or how they have achieved their masterful technology and not conquered the galaxy. In one highly advanced space station know as Mildor Station, the Mildoran Companions have waited. Studying the galaxy, watching other empires rise and fall, observing... but never more interaction than trading resources. Many wonder what their plan is, even more wonder how they have managed to influence almost every galactic power from one small station. These are questions that may never get answers, questions that have not been answered... as far as the rest of Tanari knows. The one sure thing about the Mildorans is that they are planning something big, something on the galactic scale... but no one knows what. Or at least... no one knows that they know.

The Unknown Ancients

No one knows very much about the Mildoran Companions. The one sure fact about them is that they predate anything else currently in the galaxy. The truth on the matter is, the Mildorans once ruled Tanari. Every star system, every trace of resources was theirs, but one empire could not discover all the galaxy's secrets on its own. They once believed that they had mastered their galaxy, but that all changed with the Rizlazor. The Rizlazor was an utterly alien entity from another dimension. It possessed untold power, being able to unravel and reassemble the very fabric of dimensions themselves. Its arrival in the galaxy taught the Mildorans much, their technological progress soared and they grew to an unprecedented level of power. Unfortunately, through this new found knowledge the Mildorans were divided. Some sought to discover a way to travel to another galaxy and discover its secrets as the Rizlazor had, but the others believed that if they did not understand their own galaxy they could not began to comprehend another. Thus the Mildorans split in two, the Mildoran Originators sought to discover a way to access another galaxy, while the Midloran Companions sought to understand this galaxy instead of another. War broke out between the Mildorans. The War of Escape was very costly to the Mildorans.

The War of Escape

Billions of Mildorans lost their lives in a war of utter stalemate. The Companions destroyed the Originator's portals and the Originators destroyed the Companions science starships and space stations. The galaxy was locked in a war of endless stagnation with no side gaining an advantage against the other. Huge ship graveyards were strung all around the galaxy, massive planets and space stations stained with blood of Mildorans. Until miraculously, one side gained an advantage and the tide turned against the Companions. Both sides had mighty fleets yes, but the Originators had something the Companions didn't, a great intergalactic travel system based off the portals. The Originator's fleets could travel quickly from one side of the galaxy to another, leaving the Companions out maneuvered and vulnerable. Fleets started to disappear, stations went offline, the Companions were in a position of true vulnerability, but they had been preparing something big, something powerful, something that could destroy all of the Originators... and themselves. They had created what was only ever called one thing, The Genocide Machine.

The End of the Beginning

The Originators were horrified by the implications of this technology and arranged a peace council between the Companions and themselves. What ensued consisted of arguing, pleading, and threats. In the end the Originators failed in their mission, the Companions remained unswayed as they explained that
"The only, and now we mean ONLY way for us to understand reality and our galaxy is to do it with others! We may be the most advanced civilization there has been and most likely ever will be, but we can only discover so much by ourselves. Which is what this "Genocide Machine" as you call it, will do! It will provide a galactic jumpstart to a multitude of primitive species in the galaxy. Then it will destroy us!" The room went silent as this was said "Now you most likely think I'm mad, but think about it! If it destroys us and everything we have built save one station then that provides a fresh slate for the new races of the galaxy to discover!"
And thus the switch was pulled....   And the Mildoran Originators, as well as almost all of the Mildorans were no more.   And then The Awakening occurred.

Public Agenda

Has no public agenda beyond helping younger civilizations rise to power

Diplomatic Relations

The Church of The Chronicler

"They are strange ones, they gather knowledge about the Originator's realm with help from one of our own who has transcended to godhood and ignores us. Truly the galaxy is strange.

The Purgers

"They seek to turn their back on progress without even attempting to understand the galaxy. Worse yet they do it in a primal, animalistic way. They steal or tech and attack us with it. They are monsters but we cannot eradicate them, for they are very strange and unusual.

The Seven Tribes of Humanity

"Can we not escape intergalactic intruders? Must there always be something from outside Tanari on our doorstep? They seem weak enough, they do not concern us, the problem is however if they will start another civil war between us.
