Vellenox
Vellenox has many origins in myth and antiquity. One myth is her birth along with her twin sisters on the twin moons above. Another is the myth of the sisters being turned into the twin moons as punishment for stealing Corsun's cattle. A more modern myth is the history Vellenox as told through the great poet Givindrias:
"In a previous life an ancient Dark Elf who obtained Godhood through mastering the mystic arts and learning how to travel the planes of reality. Eventually her aptitude forced the Old Gods to allow her to ascend. Unfortunately her ambition was also her downfall. She called out Azurat for not doing enough to help the lower races and the rest of the Gods for constantly playing with the lives of mortals much like the Greek Gods. Once one of the Fallen after being cast out by Azurat himself she returned to godhood several millenia ago with the help of some mighty heroes."
As one of the old gods she was the goddess of Murder, Lies, Deception, Spiders, Darkness, Illusion, and Intrigue. With her ascension she adds Endurance, Pain (all good, emotional, and bad), suffering, martyrdom, perserverance.
Vellenox represents a god devoted to mortals and suffering and tries to ease their pain while acknowledging their struggles and perserverance. In the year SF 2996 she was targeted by a fanatical group of Paladins and Clerics known as The Adherents of Iron. Unbeknownst to them, they were being guided by dangerous god killing fear entity known as the Top Hat Man. In the year SF 2997 they attempted to corrupt the Oracle of Vellenox in the jungles of Ventenheim to learn the location of the Divinity well of Vellenox. At this divine place they could attempt to destroy the god in service of the Top Hat man. Fortunately they were stopped by the heroes known as Adventure Team Grimm.
As the Adherents of Iron grew more and more war like and zealous they continued their attempts to find the Divinity well and carry out their evil mission. In the year SF 3021 they succeed and find the divinity well of Vellenox. In a complex year long ritual they depowered the divinity well and captured Vellenox herself. With her essence caged and vulnerable they expunged her from all planes of existence killing her and adding her power to the Top Hat man.

The Ventenian Conflict
Twin sisters, Hellenox and Vellenox, were born of the sun god Corsun and the god of nature Maka'lua'a. The stories say that they were born on the moons or they became the two moons of Tanaheim. The spoken word stories going back through antiquity differ depending on the continent in which they were told. One of the popular stories tells of the sisters wandering through the sun gods fields at night and deciding to steal the cattle. They proclaim that they want to give the cattle to mortals instead of the valuable beasts being saved just for the gods. They are punished for this and turned into the twin moons for their punishment.
When Vellenox stood in the Veiled Sanctum and refused to give Corsun spring (one of her domains is winter solstice) Maka'lua'a and Corsun rounded on her and threatened expulsion and death. Vellenox stood firm asking for boons for mortals who walked down upon the earth itself "Give unto them wheat, give them fish in the seas to eat, give them mercy from the dragon gods who treat them as morsels." The other gods turned their back on her, even her sister in an act that would divide the twins for all ages to follow. Hellenox stood and turned her back as the gods cast Vellenox out of the sanctum and out into the world.
