The Church of Vellenox
The Church of Vellenox is a loose religious order that exists to spread the word of Vellenox and convert new followers.
Structure
Most cities and large towns have a Cleric of Vellenox, usually level 2 or 3 in power. These Clerics assemble at least three acolytes and then several devotees to maintian the temple and temple grounds. Most temples are simple stone domiciles, not ostentatious or wealthy in appearance. A Shrine to Vellenox can be found above a wide low alter at the front of the church. Most alters have various nails or sharp appendages on them that the Clerics can grip during sermons to remind themselves of pain.
There are usually six Arch Clerics who are raised by Vellenox herself after a vision. These Arch Clerics are usually stationed in major cities to find new adherents.

The church of Vellenox sponsors a small restricted order of paladins and fighters called The Order of the Osterox.
The charge given to most novice postulants to the faith is:
Strive always to aid, to foster new hope, new ideas, and new prosperity for all humankind and its allies. Perfect thyself, and guard ever against pride, for it is a sacred duty to foster personal lessons, nurture the community around you, and work for personal growth. Be fertile in mind and in body. Consider always the consequences of thine actions so that the least effort may bring the greatest and best reward. Wherever you go, be aware of the pain around you, tend to the struggle of those in need, and inflict pain on those that deserve it. For all pain is proof of life and part of the struggle of existence. Whenever possible, reflect on your own path of struggle on a moon filled night with the stars above. Vellenox does not punish those that inflict pain or suffering on others though she likes to remind them that the same can happen to them for that is a fact of mortal life.
From death, life and then back to death. There is always another day, whether that be in mortal life or the afterlife. With the struggle brings pain, with the pain brings proof of life, with proof of life you feel the spark of the divine.
Far more importance is placed on acting in the service of Lathander by helping, encouraging, and aiding than in strict adherence to rituals, rules, and the dictates of superior clergy. Death is considered a reward for the clerics because they are "going to Vellenox" in the afterlife. Most clerics are not raised unless they are needed to finish a task. Followers of Lathander seek to build anew and to rebuild. They seek to make lands more productive and push civilization to improve itself through interracial harmony, cooperation, pursuit of the arts and progress.
