Session 3 - The Wizard Sex Party
General Summary
Artorias rejoins the party after his wounds have healed while they prepare to infiltrate the party at the Lover's Purse after some discussion it's decided that the group split up. Artorias, Andre and Faen go to the Sage district to see Ea-Nasir who owns the Heroes Tankard a favourite place of the Paladins of the Church of Sunlight while Astraea and Hanurak decide to go investigate Gwyn Sunsword's tomb.
When they arrive near the tomb they hear voices and howls. Approaching cautiously they can hear a sinister chanting similar to that in the Chubby Papaya before Jora attacked. They are suddenly attacked and while escaping Hanurak trips but while Astraea a distraction spell he forward rolls and continues his run to the tree line where they both escape unharmed.
Meanwhile the others arrive at the Hero's Tankard which is a bustling place of business. Ea Nasir is at the bar serving and is happy to answer their questions about the Lover's Purse but then suddenly Missa arrives. Artorias and Andre approach her to cause a distraction so Faen can leave quietly. They try to explain why they killed Jora but only upset her even more and then start a fight with Ea Nasir.
Faen watching from the doorway leaves them to it and returns to tell Hanurak and Astraea who have also returned from the tomb. The fight is averted from becoming too deadly but Ea Nasir keeps one of Artorias' javelins as a trophy propped behind his bar.
They return in jovial spirits while the others are unimpressed. After a peculiar incident in the tavern where Astraea and Faen are charmed, Andre is oblivious to everything going on, after Artorias and Hanurak discover the charm is coming from a musician playing his bagpipes they try to stop him but only succeed in destroying the bagpipes themselves. After speaking with the Bard they learn that his name is Brinfine a travelling musician from the College of Inspiration and Satire in Ikel after the charm is lifted the speak further to Saresh about finding an expert forger in order to fake some tickets.
From her they learn that Krug the orc from the city's prison was just released and may be able to help. Astraea and Artorias go to see Ninki to tell her about the tomb upon arrival they are greeted by a human paladin Artorias recognises as the Senechal for the temple they learn from him that Ninki is not at the temple and is currently indisposed.
Following a brief exchange the Senechal notices Artorias' missing javelin, he questions the paladin on how he lost upon learning that he lost it in a common bar brawl the Senechal orders Artorias to be detained in the cells under the temple until a decision can be made on his punishment.
Hanurak visits Krug and gets another side quest to search for his wife's killer. He receives a drawing of a daggers hilt and a name (Draco). Astraea recognises the hilt design as her family crest and is puzzled by these events.
Astraea visits Ea Nasir in an attempt to make peace and finds out he isn't going to the party tonight so he gives her his ticket. Faen attempts to purchase a ticket and because of Hanurak gains another sidequest regarding the prickling forest and the wild magic that is taking root there. We finally all manage to get into the party and while Faen and Andre stay by the entrance looking increasingly uncomfortable Astraea and Hanurak mingle. Faen starts to panic when 2 brunettes approach him but is 'rescued' by Niara who introduces herself.
After she leaves he shoots fireworks into the air in a panic flurry and Astraea seeing this leaves Hanurak to see what is going on. After babbling about boobs and brunettes he finally manages to tell Astraea that he has seen Niara and points her out. At that time Hanurak has found Lyanna and is speaking to her and a man called Orryn.
Astraea comes over and asks to speak with Hanurak privately and tells him that Lyanna is Niara and Hanurak decides to stay close to her to find out more information. Orryn strikes up a conversation with Astraea promising to tell her more about her heritage as he has travelled far and collected much information we also learn that he is Missa's father and doesn't know of Jora's death ( or says he doesn't at least).
Faen having a burst of dutch courage approaches the brunettes and takes them up on their offer which results in him being incapacitated for the rest of the night. Hanurak is also invited to Niara's room and his 'adventures' have a far less pleasant outcome as he is drugged as he passes into unconciousness he hears Niara call to Orryn saying 'he is ready for you' while runes begin etching themselves onto his flesh...
