Alrescha Flower Mountain Shrub

The Alresha plant is a shrub. It has a dense cluster of woody stems that grow in tight clusters. They reach a max height of two meters. The leaves of the shrub are unique in that they are similar to the scale like conifer trees. The dense leaves form scales on the ends of the branches of the shrub.
The plant doesn't flower often, only once an interval during the warmer summer season where Talitha is closer to the sun. The flowers grow in small white clusters. The individual flowers are only a few CMs wide and have five petals. If left alone they will turn into small bitter fruits and eventually seeds. Though the fruits are edible, the flowers are more sought after. The fruits are left on the plants for reproduction purposes.
Though the plants are hardy and will grow in various climates, they are not cultivated in large as a food source. The low production rate makes them a very time consuming plant. Instead the Talithans harvest the flowers from the plants in the wild. They only take roughly 20% of the natural yield, leaving plenty of flowers left so the plants can reproduce and continue on their own. There are some who grow some for their own private uses. They are too large for rooftop gardens, but are sometimes seen in the various community gardens spread around the The Great Cities.
